Kelp Clothing for REMOVE SHARK NETS
Kelp Clothing is a new women’s wear label, committed to the strict use of eco-friendly fabrics for it’s Australian-made range. The label focuses on everyday basics, with an emphasis on comfort, fit and flattering silhouettes.
Wearing environmentally friendly clothing doesn’t mean a sacrifice in style. Using environmentally-friendly fabrics, (mainly hemp & bamboo) is Kelp Clothing’s promise to the planet to make a difference. “Living green” means incorporating eco-friendly actions into a broad spectrum of every day life, which includes what we wear.
Kelp Clothing intends to raise awareness of environmental issues by printing messages on T-shirts, as seen at www.removesharknets.com
Why wear a shirt with an environmental message on it when the shirt itself has been made using toxic chemicals, a huge amount of resources, and/or isn’t even biodegradable?
The issue of shark nets struck Kelp Clothing as a greatly overlooked problem of our marine ecosystem. Hopefully when people see a T-shirt reading “Remove Shark Nets” (or just the word “shark”) they will be prompted to look deeper, at which they will learn how damaging the nets are to our marine eco-system as a whole.
